We are Scott and Silva Sidoti. We have been married since 2003. We both grew up on lakes with power boats and loved water skiing. Scott had done some sailing on a 14 ft. Aquacat on Lake Livingston Texas. We bought our first sailboat while living in Austin Texas, a Hunter 23. We had a difficult time sailing on that very narrow, crowded lake but we managed to figure it out. When we moved to the Houston area we bought a Hunter 31 and took all the ASA classes they offered. After taking Advanced Coastal Cruising, ASA 106 we knew we wanted to sail on the ocean and live on our boat. We purchased our current sailboat, a 1991 Morgan 44 Center Cockpit in June of 2020 and moved aboard. We began preparing the boat and ourselves for eventual cruising. In November of 2022 it was finally time to go.
Now a retired nurse and retired video producer are full time liveaboard sailors. We took off for The Bahamas in December of 2022. We returned to the US in May 2023. We will most likely spend our down time in Florida.
